Everything we build.
One shop, one crew, one point of contact — from the first measurement to the last cabinet pull. Residential and commercial, new construction and remodel.
Kitchen cabinetry
The room we build most, and the one where custom actually pays for itself.
Standard cabinets come in three-inch increments and stop short of your ceiling. Ours don't. We build to the room you have — around the odd chase, up to the nine-foot ceiling, around the range you already bought.
- Islands, peninsulas and seating overhangs
- Full-height and walk-in pantry cabinetry
- Mantel, wood-wrapped and quartz-wrapped range hoods
- Integrated appliance panels and end panels
- Drawer banks, roll-outs, spice pull-outs, appliance garages
- Butler's pantries, coffee bars and beverage centers
Vanities & bath cabinetry
Furniture-grade pieces that happen to hold a sink.
Bath cabinetry takes more abuse than anything else in the house — steam, water, daily use. We build ours with the same construction we put in kitchens, so they hold up to it.
- Single and double vanities, floating or furniture-footed
- Linen towers, medicine cabinets and mirror frames
- Makeup and dressing counters
- Powder-room and guest-bath pieces
- Paint-grade or stain-grade builds, including rift-sawn white oak
Closets, pantries & garage
Built-in storage sized to what you actually own.
Wire shelving is a placeholder. We replace it with real built-in cabinetry — adjustable, and laid out around your clothes, your pantry stock, or your tools.
- Walk-in closets with islands, drawer banks and hanging sections
- Reach-in closet systems
- Walk-in and cabinet pantries
- Mudroom lockers, benches and drop zones
- Laundry-room cabinetry and folding counters
- Garage storage systems and workbenches
Built-ins, bars & furniture
The pieces that make a house feel finished.
Anything that gets fastened to a wall — or stands on its own and looks like it should be. If you can sketch it on a napkin, we can usually build it.
- Entertainment centers and media walls
- Bookcases, window seats and fireplace surrounds
- Home bars and wine storage
- Home theater cabinetry
- Home-office desks, credenzas and file walls
- China hutches, armoires and free-standing furniture
- Interior wood shutters
How your cabinets get built
Custom means you choose. Here's what there is to choose from.
Construction
Face-frame or frameless (full-access European) boxes, built to your layout rather than to stock sizes.
- Traditional face-frame
- Frameless / Euro-style
- Inset, full-overlay or partial-overlay doors
- Soft-close hinges and undermount glides built in
- Pulls and knobs supplied and fitted by others
Doors & wood
We mill our own doors, so the style isn't limited to a catalog page — and we sell doors alone if that's all you need.
- Shaker, raised panel, slab, mullioned glass, mesh
- White oak, rift oak, maple, cherry, walnut, alder, hickory
- Paint-grade and MDF for painted work
- Laminate and thermofoil for budget and commercial jobs
Ready to finish
We build and deliver unfinished. Your painter or finisher takes it from there, on site or in their own booth.
- Delivered sanded and ready for finish
- Built paint-grade or stain-grade to suit the finish you're planning
- Grain matched across a run so it reads as one piece
- Happy to coordinate with whoever is finishing
Kitchen & bath remodels
Not just the cabinets — the whole room, if you want it that way.
We regularly take on full kitchen and bath remodels, coordinating countertops, tile, plumbing and electrical alongside our own cabinetry. If you'd rather keep your existing layout, refacing and door-only replacement are on the table too.
Most Tillison projects fall between $5,000 and $150,000 depending on scope and materials. We'll give you a real number before you commit to anything.
Odd jobs welcome
Don't see it? Ask. Fifty years in, there isn't much we haven't been asked to build at least once.
Tell us what you're building.
Send us a room, a rough budget and a photo or two. We'll come back with an honest answer about what it takes.
